The course will cover the analysis of the skills required for successful mooting and legal advocacy in general. A brief history of moot courting and various types of moot court competitions will be presented. The analysis will focus on the following topics: identification of relevant legal issues, application of good research practices, drafting of pleadings and speeches, oral presentations, and teamwork. Moot court skills and methods will be evolved and applied in several moot court cases simulating the proceedings before the CJEU, focusing on preliminary ruling proceedings and infringement proceedings.
