This course provides an holistic approach to:
• actual and potential conflicts as well as major security challenges that affect the balances and stability in the international geopolitical environment,
• sturctures and processes of international organisations that seek to prevent conflicts and to manage crisis situations,
• link between actual of potential conflicts or security questions and International legal provisions and mechanisms
Conflicts and conflictual situations are analysed from different perspectives including, geographic situations, international relations theories, political and ideological systems and international law.
