CREDITS 1 (LV) 1.5 (ECTS) - 15 Contact Hours

The course aims at assesing  the intricate differences  in  basic presumptions and reasons behind the creation of the two most important competition law systems in the world. Students will attain the insight into the reasons behind the different treatment of basic concepts in both jurisdictions with the systematic analysis of historical, economic, political and legislative factors. In addition, four of the more prominent “technical profiles” (dominance, vertical restraints, market concentration and state aids) and the different perception thereof will be analysed.
