CREDITS 2 (LV) 3 (ECTS) - 30 Contact Hours

The course will provide (a) a theoretical framework of critical thinking and (b) practical tools for critical analysis of arguments (e.g., in newspapers, literary and scientific texts). Norms of rational argumentation and discourse will be discussed and practically analyzed. Course will also contain an overview of logical and psychological power of arguments. Finally, distinction between normal and fundamental (fanatic) argumentation will be explored.
